SAGE's membership includes teachers, parents, program and curriculum coordinators, board of education members, school administrators, and psychologists representing public, parochial, private, and homeschooling academic interests in St. Louis and the surrounding areas of Illinois and Missouri.

Members enjoy invitations to conferences sponsored or co-sponsored by SAGE, library borrowing privileges, advance notices of meetings and a discount on books sold at the annual open house.
